Alene Chelman
Hello!
I’m Alene, a mental health professional (therapist) at Equilibrium. Stepping into therapy is no easy feat.
Your path to wellness is all about our ability to build a trusting, safe connection. I’d be honored to help you start your journey to resiliency, courage and contentment.
There have been so many discoveries about the connections between mind, body and mental health.
Equilibrium brings all that together! We are all unique and I believe that’s what brings hope. My approach to therapy joins together an understanding of how our brains try to protect us, our parts that step in to help us and the belief that we all have the ability to heal and feel more centered. As a therapist, I love to see people gain confidence and awareness of their own being.
In my life outside of Equilibrium you’ll find me with my family, both 2 and 4 legged! I am a huge animal lover and the person that veers to miss the squirrel…but not to the extent that anyone is injured. Being outside is my Zen place with John Burroughs describing it best: “I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order once more”. I love to laugh and find myself to be quite funny (mostly when appropriate of course).
