Grace Allen
Hi there! I’m Grace and I’m a therapist here at Equilibrium. First off, welcome and kudos to you for taking steps toward your wellbeing! I’m glad you’re here!
I started working in the mental health field because I hold a strong value in helping people heal, grow, and flourish into the person they want to be. I think we all live more satisfying and fulfilling lives when we take good care of our mental and physical wellbeing. My goal is to walk alongside you and support your personal growth; I recognize that that process will look different for everyone. We all encounter points in life that are painful or times where we feel stuck. I think it is so important to validate the common humanity in these times of pain while also honoring that each person’s experience is their own. My approach is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore and process these painful points, build upon your strengths, and work toward the goals that bring you to therapy. And if you aren’t quite sure what your goals are yet, that’s ok too!
Sometimes therapy helps us also find our direction in life when things feel unsteady. I strive to be affirming of each person who walks into my office and appreciate each person’s unique experiences and perspectives.
When I’m not working, you might find me spending time with loved ones, rock climbing, or enjoying a nice walk. I find comfort in all things cozy including rewatching some of my favorite shows, playing relaxing video games, and reading. I always have a song in my heart and would love to hear about the music that moves you!
