Terri Houndt-Dalberg
Hi, I am so glad you are here! I’m Terri Houndt-Dalberg a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (medication provider). If you’re new to Equilibrium, or Mental health care, welcome! Please know anything you’re feeling about being here is valid, let’s chat about it. If you are familiar with me I am so grateful to see you back! Let’s start, or continue, your wellness journey together.
I am a big believer that to make an impact on an individual's mental health we need to look at each person as a whole, this includes their medical, social, spiritual, and emotional history/state. If one of these elements of life is off or facing challenges, your mental health might not feel balanced. My belief in finding balance in life led me to practicing at Equilibrium Brain Body Balance. Everyone’s life and experiences are unique, just as each individual's threshold to navigate events in life are different. This is why we will work together to not only treat your symptoms but also create a plan of care based on your authentic needs and views. We will collaborate to create a toolbox of coping skills, find (or embrace) interests, utilize medication and build holistic plans, to help you navigate whatever life might throw at you. You are not alone in this journey. My goal is to help you identify where you need balance and assist you in figuring out what that looks like for you, very individualized. I tend to use humor, art, interactive activities and realism in my approach to care.

As a medication provider I treat from a person first perspective, I enjoy working to help individuals and their families feel empowered and educated while making their medical/mental health care decisions. I lean into a more holistic approach while working with people to find their balance and desired point of wellness. What does that mean? I listen, review, and see each person as a whole. Looking for pieces of the puzzle that may be missing and sometimes diving into: lab work, sleep, hormones, social history, and behavior patterns. A patients' voice, their views, and overall health are critical to their care and wellness.

When I am not at Equilibrium, you will find me with friends and family, enjoying Mom life- which has earned me the following nicknames; Mamarazzi and Chaos Coordinator. In my free time I love doing arts and crafts (self -proclaimed Pinterest addict), enjoy spending time by the water, going on walks, lifting weights, and sharing good food with people I care about. I prefer to relax by listening to music (at high volumes), reading or doing yoga and I tend to binge watch my favorite shows.
